ICYMI: Gamecock WBB Wing Sahnya Jah Enters The Portal
A freshman whom South Carolina's women's basketball program had to discipline last month appears to be looking for a fresh start.
Dawn Staley isn't afraid to discuss the sacrifices players have to make to thrive in South Carolina's women's basketball program. Sometimes, it works out well, with the player adjusting and adapting to a new role. Other times, it's extremely difficult for someone who was likely a McDonald's All-American in high school to accept that they won't be getting a lot of minutes early on.
Combined with being disciplined for conduct detrimental to the team this past month, it appears that freshman wing Sahnya Jah has decided that she needs a clean break, as The Next's Talia Goodman reported that she had entered the transfer portal on Monday morning. Dawn provided the following statement in lieu of the news:
"Sahnya Jah officially entered the transfer portal today. It is unfortunately that her time with us was short, but we wish her the best in the next steps of her career."
