In another highly anticipated matchup for Dawn Staley and company this season, the No. 1 Gamecocks host No. 11 UConn on Sunday afternoon. After getting the win over Missouri, even with the absence of Kamilla Cardoso, they showed they could still be a threat all around.

The Carolina defense must find a way to play as well as they did Thursday night and slow down Huskies guard Paige Bueckers, who’s averaging 20 points per game, which is in the top 25 nationally. South Carolina's frontcourt Chloe Kitts and Ashlyn Watkins will also need big defensive games against Aaliyah Edwards, who is averaging 17.7 points per game.

It will take a complete team effort from the Gamecocks to remain undefeated and at the top of the women’s college basketball world. From excellent team defense to swift ball movement, they'll need all the things they have displayed done all season to get to this point.
