South Carolina's WBB Team Unveils New Locker Room
Dawn Staley and South Carolina's Women's Basketball team have become the preeminent program in their respective sport, winning 127 games over the past four calendar years, including two final appearances and a national title. That's not even counting in the fact that the program won a national championship in 2017, has claimed victory in 38 straight games, and is looking to become just the fourth team in women's college basketball history to win back-to-back titles when they begin tournament play on Friday.
There's no denying that winning at this rate tends to do wonders for a program by opening up windows of opportunity that previously either wouldn't have existed or would have been harder to come by. The most prominent example of this in intercollegiate athletics is facility renovations, which universities prioritize when the program consistently shows tangible on-field results. South Carolina's Women's Basketball program has more than completed the task mentioned earlier, and on Tuesday, they posted photos on Twitter showcasing their brand new locker room.
It's something that players under Dawn Staley more than deserve for not just the hard work and dedication they've given to the program but for how they've represented the University of South Carolina throughout their rise to the mountaintop in women's college hoops.
