Former Gamecock Earns 2nd First-Team All-Pro Nod
When a major college football program like South Carolina is trying to pitch a high school prospect or player in the portal on the idea of joining them, one of the things those players want to know is this: can you develop me and get me ready for the NFL? One obvious way in which the Gamecocks and others are judged in that area is the amount of players they've sent to the league and the kind of success they've had.
For that reason, and the simple fact that you always want to see former players thrive in the next chapter of their life, South Carolina fans will be thrilled to hear that former Gamecock cornerback Keisean Nixon was named a first-team All-Pro kick returner via the NFL Players Association.
It's the second straight season that Nixon has earned this honor from his peers. Keisean had 26 kick returns of 20 yards or more in 2023, setting a new career high in that category.
