BREAKING: Jovaughn Gwyn Drafted In 7th Round
Jovaughn Gwyn has been one of the most unsung players at South Carolina for the past several years. Throughout his career, which started in 2018 and ended this past Fall, Gwyn witnessed the program go from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs, and played a key role in the Gamecocks impressive turnaround the last couple of years under Shane Beamer.
Jovaughn was named a captain twice in both his Senior year and 5th year in the program, and was extremely consistent in terms of his durability and reliability, as he started 47 career games. These intangibles clearly grabbed the attention of the Atlanta Falcons, who decided to draft Jovaughn Gwyn with the No. 225 overall pick in the 7th round.
Gwyn joins fellow Gamecocks Cam Smith, Zacch Pickens, and Darius Rush as players who've been drafted this weekend, and while undoubtably bring a strong work ethic to the Atlanta Falcons organization.
