Shane Beamer and his staff have slowly but surely been turning over South Carolina's roster over the past couple of years. With a Top 25 class in the 2022 cycle and the No. 16 class this past cycle, the third-year head man is beginning to see the fruits of his and his staff's labor.

One way this positive roster turnover is being displayed is through the preseason watchlists being released this week. Spencer Rattler and Antwane "Juice" Wells are already repping the Gamecocks on the Maxwell Award Preseason Watchlist, and on Tuesday, three more Gamecocks made separate watchlists.

The most notable selection out of this group was safety Nick Emmanwori, who was named to the Bronco Nagurski Trophy Watchlist, an annual award given to the nation's best defensive player. Coming off of a Freshman All-American campaign in 2022, Emmanwori will look to take the next step as the likely leader in the Gamecocks' defensive secondary.

After what was a breakout season this past Fall, South Carolina native and senior defensive lineman Tonka Hemingway has been named to Outland Trophy Watchlist, given to the best interior lineman in all of college football. Tonka will look to anchor a defensive line that lost multiple key contributors from this past season in Zacch Pickens, Jordan Burch, and Gilber Edmond.

Lastly, how about some more love for the specialists, as long snapper Hunter Rogers, who was named an All-SEC selection in 2022, was named to the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List, given out annually to the country's best long snapper. Rogers, alongside kicker Mitch Jeter and punter Kai Kroeger, will hope to keep the Gamecocks near the top in special teams efficiency again this season.
