Staff Predictions: 2024 SEC Championship Game
South Carolina's football season may have come to a close, with Shane Beamer now about to embark on his most crucial offseason to date since his arrival in Columbia. If you're looking for a break from all the madness that's ensued with the transfer portal, we've got just the game for you, as No. 1 Georgia takes on No. 8 Alabama in Atlanta for the SEC Championship. Here's the staffs thoughts on how we think the game is going to play out:
Fisher Brewer
I think UGA wins today with the Dawgs' elite defense stepping up, making life difficult for Alabama's star QB Jalen Milroe.
Final Score: Georgia 35 - Alabama 21
Joseph Griffin
I’m picking UGA. Both teams have vulnerabilities the other can exploit. I think Milroe and his legs will cause a problem for UGA, however I think Georgia will be able to have more success on the ground.
Final Score: Georgia 30 - Alabama 24
Andrew Lyon
Georgia has been the most consistent and dominant team in college football over the past couple of years, but I think the Crimson Tide squeaks one out today due largely to Jalen Milroe's scrambling ability on both designed runs and when improvising on busted plays.
Final Score: Alabama 27 - Georgia 24
