BREAKING: Gamecock Transfer Commit Jayden McGowan Flips To Boston College
Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football staff are working tirelessly to try and completely revamp their wide receiver room with Xavier Legette moving onto the NFL and several others walking out the door due to either their eligibility being exhausted or their desire to transfer elsewhere. One transfer whom the Gamecocks had in the fold since December 13th was Vanderbilt transfer Jayden McGowan, but McGowan raised eyebrows when he didn't sign with Carolina this past Wednesday, and there were preceding rumors that Boston College had made an enticing NIL offer.
It appears that whether it was NIL or a combination of different factors, the proposition of playing for the Eagles was more enticing for Jayden at the end, as he announced he was flipping to Boston College on Friday afternoon.
With McGowan now officially moving on, South Carolina will likely have to land at least two or three more wideouts out of the portal before Spring practice in order to both have enough bodies in the room and enough competition during the offseason for spots in their rotation.
