Early Betting Lines: South Carolina @ No. 20 Missouri

Opening betting lines have come out for this weekend's college football slate, and South Carolina's Football team is listed as an underdog versus Missouri.

Some metrics already believe that South Carolina's football team has dealt with the toughest schedule in all of college football to this point in the season. If you're a Gamecock fan, and you're laughing at that statement, thinking 'How could it get any more difficult?' here's the ultimate punchline: Shane Beamer's team is getting ready for a dreaded back-to-back SEC road trip, which begins this weekend against the No. 20 Missouri Tigers.

The Tigers are 6-1 and have made a legitimate argument that they are the second-best team in the SEC Eastern division behind the Georgia Bulldogs. However, no matter how good either team has been at any point in this series short history, this game has rarely ended with a point differential, as ten out of the thirteen meetings have ended with a point differential of fourteen points or less. This might explain why the spread for this game is currently set at 7.5 points in favor of the Tigers, per vegasinsider.com.
