Two Gamecock Early Enrollees Maintain Five-Star Status In Final Ranking

Two early enrollees from the 2024 class for South Carolina's football program have kept their five-star status in On3 Sports' final ranking for the cycle.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are poised for a bright future as two of its signees from the 2024 recruiting class have held onto their five-star status in On3 Sports final rankings. These standout high school athletes are Dylan Stewart and Josiah Thompson.

Stewart, an explosive and dominant edge rusher, has finished the season as the nation's 12th overall high school recruit in On3's rankings. His agility, power, and instinctual play have earned him the No. 3 spot at the edge rusher position. Stewart's ability to disrupt the backfield and pressure quarterbacks is expected to translate seamlessly to the college level, where he will undoubtedly be a cornerstone of the Gamecocks' defense in the near future.

Joining Dylan in the ranks of the elite is incoming talent Josiah Thompson. Thompson is ranked the 16th-best recruit nationally and the No. 1 overall offensive tackle for his class in On3's final rankings. His size, strength, and footwork make him a high-ceiling prospect. Thompson's role in protecting the quarterback and leading a dominant ground attack will be critical to South Carolina's offensive success in the future.
