BREAKING: Gamecocks To Take On Commodores At Noon
The South Carolina Gamecocks are limping, both literally and figuratively speaking, into the month of November with a 2-6 record and no more room for error as far as wins and losses are concerned. If Shane Beamer and his staff want to make it back to the postseason for the third straight season in a row, they'll have to find a way to pull off four straight victories against a group that includes three Power 5 opponents.
This attempted run will start this coming Saturday when the Gamecocks take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, whom Carolina is favored against to start the week. In week eleven, they play their second to last conference matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores, whom the Gamecocks haven't lost to since 2008.
Considering the fact that both teams haven't found the win column since the month of September, this matchup is considered to be high-profile in the eyes of the conference, and that was confirmed on Monday afternoon with the announcement that the game will take place at noon on November 11th.
