Midweek Betting Odds: South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt
At the beginning of the week, the South Carolina Gamecocks were listed at around a two-score favorite against the Vanderbilt Commodores, the second week in a row in which they were favored by that amount against their opponent. Now that a few days has passed, it's time to look and see if the sportsbooks still view the game in that light:
Per Vegasinsider.com
FanDuel: Gamecocks are 13.5-point favorites
BETMGM: Gamecocks are 13.5-point favorites
*Every other major sportsbook has Carolina listed as a 14-point favorite*
The only specific sportsbook that saw any line movement is FanDuel, who moved their line down from 14 points to 13.5 points. The Gamecocks will be looking to try and contain a Vanderbilt offense that, much like Dowell Loggains, is driven by explosive plays. In terms of South Carolina's home games, the average point differential has been 11.25 points. We'll see later this week if that trend will continue, or if the Gamecocks can win by a more comfortable margin ahead of their bigtime matchups against Kentucky and Clemson.
