This past offseason, Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks went into the portal and nabbed Yale's lone team captain from Team 149 in 2022, offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo. Gargiulo turned out to be one of the most critical pickups of the offseason, as he immediately became a starter on Carolina's o-line and moved to the center position in week seven in order to help the team get the best five guys all out on the field.

It appears that Beamer and company have set their sights on the Ivy League once again, as a graduate transfer tight end from Harvard, Tyler Neville, posted on X late Monday night that he had received an offer from the Gamecocks. Neville was a First team All-IVY league selection in each of the last two seasons, and racked up 62 receptions for 698 receiving yards and eight touchdowns over the three years he spent in Cambridge.

He's the second publicly known portal offer that South Carolina's coaching staff has sent out, joining Southern Mississippi offensive lineman Gerquan Scott.
