There have been a lot of struggles for South Carolina's offensive line to start the 2023 season, particularly at both offensive tackle positions. This past week against the Furman Paladins, the coaching staff rotated in several young freshmen along the offensive line, specifically Tree Babalade and Trovon Baugh.

Both guys played admirably in their first career college game, and it appears one of them in particular has caught the attention of the staff so much so, that he won't have to wait long to take the field in today's game against Georgia. It has been reported that Tree Babalade was repping with the first-team offensive line in team warmups, which doesn't guarantee he'll go out for the first drive, but does seem to indicate that he'll be getting a lot of snaps later this afternoon with the rest of the starters.

Wide receiver Ahmarean Brown was listed as questionable all week by Shane Beamer, and the Post and Courier's David Cloninger has confirmed that he did not make the trip. Cloninger also reported that Nick Emmanwori and David Spaulding were seen warming up earlier this afternoon, and that rotational edge rusher Tyreek Johnson also did not make the trip, a slight surprise considering there was no indication this week that he might not travel with the team.
