Few athletes in the United States are more versatile than Amari Jefferson, a football and baseball player out of Tennessee. Jefferson, a four-star receiver and one of the top outfielders in the country, has become a top priority for football and baseball coaches around America.

The pass-catcher out of the famed Baylor School in Chattanooga is one of the higher-ranked players in his class. Ranking as the 44th-best receiver in the class and the sixth-ranked player in Tennessee, Jefferson is one of the higher-touted prospects in the 2024 cycle. Interestingly enough, Jefferson is already committed to Tennessee as a baseball player. However, Jefferson has kept his football recruitment open, looking for a school where he can play both.

The Chattanooga native has released the final six schools in his recruitment and hopes to be a two-sport athlete wherever he ends up. Tennessee, where he's already committed for baseball, South Carolina, Alabama, Miami, Georgia, and Oklahoma comprise Jefferson's final six schools.

The 6-2 receiver totaled 17 touchdowns in his junior year, despite the intense competition he was facing in Tennessee's most intense football region. His playmaking ability is derived from his incredible speed and shiftiness, allowing him to torch defenders consistently. Whether catching the ball 30 yards downfield or receiving a handoff in the backfield, Jefferson consistently made defenders look foolish on his way to the end zone.

South Carolina has made tremendous strides in building the receiver room for the future in the classes of 2023 and 2024, but the Gamecocks are still looking to add more talented pass-catchers. With the likes of Nyckoles Harbor, Michael Smith, and Mazeo Bennett getting ready to dawn the garnet and red jerseys soon, getting Jefferson to Columbia could create one of the most dangerous receiving groups in the country.
