2025 QB Cutter Boley Planning To Visit South Carolina
Regarding the quarterback position in football, there's an old saying amongst coaching and recruiting staffs alike; you can never have too many. These days, when you consider how quickly high school recruitments are progressing and how impactful the transfer portal has become regarding personnel losses, finding future signal callers has never been a higher priority.
Count Shane Beamer and South Carolina's coaching staff as a part of the majority who aren't resting on their laurels, as with their 2024 quarterback Dante Reno seemingly in the fold; they're now able to place the majority of their focus onto the group of quarterbacks in the 2025 recruiting class. Enter Cutter Boley, a native of Lexington, KY, who's already considered one of the best prospects in his class. He backs up this notion with offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, and many other prestigious programs.
Although he's yet to see an offer from South Carolina come through the mail, there's apparent mutual interest between both sides, as Evan Crowell of VolunteersCountryFN reported that Boley is planning to make an unofficial visit down to Columbia sometime during the Spring. The fact that Cutter is visiting the Gamecocks even though he doesn't carry an offer from them is a clear sign that South Carolina could quickly make up some ground should they start pushing for the rising junior. With Dowell Loggains quarterback-centric offense and the potential for Spencer Rattler to ultimately reclaim his reputation as an elite quarterback, it's no wonder why a prospect as talented as Cutter would keep his eyes on the flagship university in the Palmetto State.
