Gamecocks Earn A Visit From Keylen Adams
The South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to build a nice recruiting class at the wide receiver position, in preparation for the exodus of experience they'll see after this next season. Justin Stepp and the rest of the staff got off to a good start by effectively flipping in-state wide receiver Mazeo Bennett from Tennessee, and are also in the lead group for guys like Jonathan Paylor and Parker Livingstone.
Another receiver the Gamecocks have offered in this cycle is Virginia native Keylen Adams, who's been offered by multiple SEC programs like Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Texas A&M, along with other historic programs like Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State, Penn State and plenty of others.
While Adams has not been a name that's trickled out too often, that might soon change, as he announced on Twitter on Friday morning that he was paying the program a visit.
This trip offers Adams a chance to see South Carolina's modern-day facilities, and also get a chance to see how they could develop him for the NFL, as evidenced by recent draft picks in Deebo Samuel, Bryan Edwards, Jalen Brooks, and Shi Smith. It'll be interesting to see how much the visit changes Keylen's thought process regarding the Gamecocks.
