Malachi Toliver Narrows Recruitment
Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football coaching staff have done an excellent job recruiting the trenches, including offensive linemen, starting in the 2023 recruiting class. So far in the 2024 cycle, they've continued to do this by landing the commitment of the top offensive tackle in the country, Kam Pringle, and they seem to be in a good position for other national-level offensive linemen like Josiah Thompson and Blake Franks.
There are some other prospects, however, that Gamecock fans will want to keep an eye on moving forward, including one Malachi Toliver out of Cartersville, GA. Toliver is a physically imposing trench man, being listed around 6'5 and 300 lbs., and has received interest from a bevy of major college football programs in the southeastern region. It appears that Malachi is getting farther along in his recruiting process, as he made his latest cut of teams on Sunday afternoon, one that Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks made.
Toliver has made a handful of visits to Columbia, including one for South Carolina's junior day festivities this past month, and is one to watch when looking at the final slots for South Carolina's recruiting board on the offensive line.
