When it comes to South Carolina's 2024 football recruiting board, positions like quarterback, tight end, and offensive line have been filled, allowing Shane Beamer and his coaching staff the opportunity to turn their attention to other positions for this class. One of those positions is the running back position, where notable targets like Daniel Hill and Braylen Russell are on the Gamecocks' radar.

Another running back, however, that South Carolina discovered back in the Spring is Matthew Fuller, a 6'0, 210-pound running back out of Wayne County High School in Jesup, GA. Along with the Gamecocks, five other Power 5 programs have offered the rising senior, including schools like Cincinnati, Minnesota, UCF, Iowa State, and Georgia Tech. Fuller has an athletic similar to 2023 running back signee Dontavious Braswell, as Matthew plays football and also runs track, and has been recorded by 247sports evaluators as having run a 10.79 100-meter dash back on April 27th.

After taking an official visit to South Carolina on the weekend of June 9th-11th, it appears that Fuller is ready to make his college decision, as SportsTalk Media Network reported on Thursday night that he'll be making his commitment at 1:00 pm ET today on Twitter. It was also reported that Matthew is down to South Carolina and Georgia Tech.

In lieu of Fuller's announcement, I believe South Carolina is in a prime position to land him due to the prestige of the Gamecocks' offer and the thought that they would like to take multiple running backs in this cycle.

Final Prediction: South Carolina
