The offensive and defensive lines have been a constant point of discussion amongst South Carolina football, and for good reason. The team, specifically Assistant Coaches Lonnie Teasley and Greg Adkins, has done an excellent job recruiting elite talent at the offensive line.

The two have been hosting top offensive line recruits all off-season and have already secured one commitment from Kam Pringle, the third-ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2024. The team is also seemingly closing in on commitments from Blake Franks and Josiah Thompson, which would add legitimacy to the two's recruiting efforts.

After a Thursday Practice, the two coaches took to Twitter to celebrate the hard work they and the team have been putting in. The team has continued to see top recruits in and out of the facility for visits and seen significant growth on its offensive line.

Considering the offensive line has been one of the weaker units on the Gamecocks' roster for several years, improving that front is imperative for further success this upcoming season. Especially considering the line lost a few starters to the NFL Draft, Eric Douglas, Dylan Wonnum, and Jovaughn Gwyn, Teasley and Adkins' work has quickly become the top priority for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina is in contact and active engagements with multiple top linemen in the class of 2025, including David Sanders, Nick Brooks, Chauncey Gooden, and more. It will be tough to land all of the top linemen the Gamecocks are pursuing, but Teasley and Adkins have already elevated the offensive line to new heights and should continue to push the boundaries for the program.
