Josiah Thompson Revises Commitment Date

South Carolina Football target Josiah Thompson plans to announce his commitment on April 14th instead of April 11th.

Gamecock fans received good news earlier this week when Josiah Thompson announced his commitment date for April 11th. However, fans of Thompson will have to wait three more days as Thompson's commitment date is now set for April 14th. His announcement will still come at 9 am at Dillion High School's gymnasium.

With South Carolina's coaching staff trying to build a solid foundation in the trenches, Thompson has quickly risen to the top of the team's priority list. Momentum has been trending towards Thompson dawning the garnet and black, but we still have to wait and see.

South Carolina's 2024 recruiting class is currently ranked as the sixth-best recruiting class in the country, and adding a top-100 player like Thompson would only boost the Gamecocks class ranking closer to one. With the potential commitment of Blake Franks coming soon, the future outlook of coach Lonnie Teasley's offensive line unit looks promising.
