Two of the positions the Gamecocks have made the most progress in recruiting this offseason have been offensive lineman and receiver. This progress within these two position groups is evidenced by the commitments from top recruits like Kam Pringle, Nyckoles Harbor, Mazeo Bennett, and more.

So far in the 2024 recruiting class, the Gamecocks are continuing its streak of success, in particular at the wide receiver spot. Jeremiah McClellan, a four-star 2024 wide receiver from St. Louis, announced his top 12 schools on Twitter on Monday afternoon, including South Carolina.

Though not the most physically dominant receiver in the class of 2024, McClellan's excellent ball skills make him an enticing prospect for many programs. One of his best qualities is his elite hand-eye coordination and ability to reel in consistent catches, which make him one of the most dangerous pass-catchers in the country.

Though he isn't known for his athletic or physical abilities, McClellan is a solid runner who's put up formidable numbers in his high school track meets. He also has a solid frame, being listed at 6'1, 185 lbs., making him difficult to tackle in the open space.

Being the 27th-ranked receiver in the class of 2024, McClellan has garnered attention from many of the top programs around the country. His top 12 schools include other major SEC powerhouses such as Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Florida. Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Oregon round out McClellan's Top 12.
