2025 Gamecock Commit Eli Ellis Puts On A Show With Lamont Paris In Attendance
This past Saturday at the 5th Annual Good Guys vs. Cancer showcase at Flight High School in North Carolina, 2025 Gamecock commit Eli Ellis displayed an offensive onslaught with South Carolina head coach Lamont Paris in attendance. In the contest versus St. Anne-Belfield, Ellis tallied 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists en route to an 18-point victory for his squad.
Despite being 6-foot-1, Ellis has an elite ability to score in bunches against taller defenders because he can knock down an array of jump shots. Connecting on spot-up jumpers and shots of the dribble, he always has his defender under constant stress, never allowing them to catch their breath on the defensive end.
Eli is also a master of getting to his spots in the mid-range, stopping on a dime, and sinking challenging off-balance jumpers. Ellis' quick release is a major separator between the senior guard and his competition, and his elite ability to load his shot from different angles at a snap of a finger makes him deadly. 247Sports currently ranks Eli Ellis as the 63rd-best player nationally in the 2025 class.
