2025 Gamecock MBB Commit Eli Ellis Named MVP Of Overtime Elite League
If you've been following Gamecock Digest's coverage over the past few months, first of all, thank you, and secondly, at least one thing you've probably pieced together by this point is that Lamont Paris has an absolute scoring machine committed for the 2025 class in guard Eli Ellis. Since early December, Ellis has played for the YNG Dreamerz in the Overtime Elite League (OTE) alongside his brother Isaac Ellis and under the guidance of his coach, and father, Jeremy Ellis, and has taken the league by storm with his on-court play. In 16 total games, Eli has averaged 33.4 points on 45.1 percent shooting from the floor, a cumulative statline that includes two 50-point performances and three other games of 40+ points.
These performances led to the Ellis being named the OTE League's season MVP on Wednesday afternoon. The best part for Eli on top of this individual accolade is that his team is playing in the OTE Playoffs, and will be taking on RWE in a best-of-three game series that begins on Friday night.
