ICYMI: 2025 Five-star LB Zayden Walker Scheduled To Visit South Carolina
Although the importance of high school football recruiting has been lessened to a certain degree in modern college football times due to the adverse consequences of the transfer portal, relationships still matter to a significant degree. While coaches like Shane Beamer are renowned for their ability to build relationships with prospects and their families, having current players on your roster possess certain ties with a prospect can be just as beneficial.
That appears to be the case with South Carolina and 2025 five-star linebacker prospect Zayden Walker, who per On3 Sports' Chad Simmons will be taking a visit to Columbia on February 3rd, which follows visits to Georgia, Florida State and Miami respectively. Walker is the younger brother of recent Gamecock signee and 2024 four-star cornerback Jalewis Solomon, which could give Beamer's staff an added advantage over all of the other contenders in Zayden's recruitment.
Walker has visited South Carolina twice according to his On3 Sports' recruiting profile, and made his top six he released back on November 17th.
