Dan Lanning has been in the headlines quite a bit over the past week or so, as he went viral for calling out Deion Sanders and Colorado prior to their game in his pregame speech, and then blew their doors off on national television.

His comments about Colorado chasing clicks instead of wins saw him get called out by notable names like Richard Sherman and has quickly led to him becoming a villain of college football. When talking about preparing for Stanford (1-3) during his Monday press conference, Lanning acknowledged the fact the fan attendance won't be as high as this past weekend and that his players will have to take it upon themselves to get up for the game. Obviously not shocking when you consider Deion Sanders was on the sideline opposite of him, but also possibly poking fun at the fact that Stanford has seen dwindling crowds as of late.

"I mean, this is a bring your own juice game, right?" said Lanning. "It's gonna be a different atmosphere. But if you step on the grass and it means something to you, you're gonna step on there and try to perform to a certain level because you have pride in the game."

The Cardinal are in the process of a dramatic rebuild following three losing seasons in four years that has essentially erased the past decade of success from the minds of many. While new head coach Troy Taylor has acknowledged the rebuild, he has also stated that he wants the team to get better each and every week.

According to ESPN, Oregon comes into the game as a 27-point favorite with Stanford having just a 3.4% chance of winning the game according to the Matchup Predictor.
