College football is certainly shifting at all times, and the transfer portal and NIL have only contributed to that.

However, when speaking to the media on Wednesday, Stanford's head coach Troy Taylor revealed that he thinks Stanford has somewhat of an advantage over other programs around the country.

"I feel like we are the only outlier in college football," said Taylor. "I love that --I'm proud of that. Our guys got to make a decision beyond other things that are out there to decide to come to Stanford. It's got to be really important for them to come to a place like this and be life-changing."

He continued, explaining what makes Stanford stand out above the rest.

"We have a collective and all those things and those things are great. That's the world we live in but what really makes Stanford unique is that it's going to impact you for the rest of your life."

Something he elaborated on, explaining that even if you have a 10-year NFL career you will still have decades of your life as a non-football player to prepare for, which a Stanford degree in hand will make easier.

Taylor and his staff did quite well in their first full year on the recruiting trail, bringing in the No. 30 class in the country according to 247Sports' composite rankings. Their class is headlined by consensus four-star quarterback Elijah Brown, four-star defensive linemen Benedict Umeh and Dylan Stephenson.

Taylor and Stanford will now look ahead and prepare for their jump to the ACC.
