The Texas A&M baseball team was outmatched both offensively and defensively by the Alabama Crimson Tide in their 11-0 beatdown at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park Sunday night.

The game was delayed just one minute shy of a full seven hours due to poor weather in the area, and it's clear the Aggies were unaware there was a game being played.

The Crimson Tide (35-17, 13-14 SEC) got off to an early lead registering a run in the first and adding a Tommy Seidl grand slam in the second. They added a run in the seventh inning and five more in the ninth.

A&M (30-22, 12-15 SEC) could never get across the plate even with two runners on base in the first and third innings. The Aggies struggled at the plate, getting the lead-off man on base just one time in the contest.

Jordan Thompson and Jack Moss led the way in hitting for the Aggies as Thompson was 3-for-4 and Moss was 2-for-4 with a double. Troy Wansing (2-3) started for A&M was is credited with the loss, giving up one run on two hits while walking two and striking out one in 0.2 innings pitched.

Alabama was led on the mound by Jacob McNairy who went 7.0 innings allowing six hits, one walk, and registering nine Ks. Seidl had three hits and five RBIs from the plate.

Next up, the Aggies travel to Starkville for a Thursday through Saturday series with the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Dudy Noble Field.
