The Texas A&M Aggies have added another transfer to coach Buzz Williams' roster for next season.

The Aggies landed a commitment from Middle Tennessee transfer guard Eli Lawrence, he announced on social media Tuesday evening. This marks the second transfer commitment for Texas A&M after UIC guard Jace Carter committed to the Aggies on April 19.

Lawrence spent the past four seasons at Middle Tennessee and had the best year of his collegiate career in 2022. He led the Blue Raiders in scoring with a career-high 12.2 points per game while adding 4.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals. The Atlanta native helped Middle Tennessee to a 19-14 record and an appearance in the semifinals of the Conference USA Tournament, but the Blue Raiders fell short in a 68-65 loss to eventual Final Four participant Florida Atlantic.

Lawrence now joins an Aggies team that will welcome his veteran experience to a squad that is likely to have high expectations again next season. He played in 120 games during his time at Middle Tennessee, meaning Williams and staff will hardly have to show him the ropes.

With the arrival of Lawrence, the Aggies now have an exciting backcourt that will already feature Wade Taylor IV and 2023 signee Bryce Lindsay.
