Cleveland Browns Draft Cedric Tillman

Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Cedric Tillman has been selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2023 NFL Draft.
In this story:

The Vols keep seeing names come off the board. The Detroit Lions drafted quarterback Hendon Hooker at No. 68 overall, the New York Giants selected wide receiver Jalin Hyatt at No. 73 overall, and the Cleveland Browns just took wide receiver Cedric Tillman at No. 74 overall.

Tillman had an uber-productive 2021 season, tallying 64 catches for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns. His 2022 season was hampered by injuries, meaning his draft stock took a slight hit. Analysts are still high on what he can do at the next level. The Athletic's Dane Brugler says Tillman should have been higher on his latest big board and expected Tillman to impress team evaluators in the predraft process.

Tillman ran an official 4.55-second forty-yard dash, a decent time for his massive 6-3 and 215 lbs. frame. His explosive metrics were excellent; he vertical jumped 37 inches, and broad jumped 10 feet and eight inches. His RAS score of 9.22 was one of the tops among receivers. He will now pair with Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, one of the top passers in the league that Cleveland acquired via trade last offseason. They are entering an important season, and Tillman should pair nicely with wide receivers Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
