Elite 11 Day One: Top Performers

Volunteer Country attended the first day of the Elite Eleven Finals and has identified three early standouts among the 20 attendees.

The Elite 11 is always the premier place to be during the summer to see America's top talent. 20 of the top quarterbacks collected on Wednesday to begin a three-day-long process to determine who takes home the Elite 11 crown. Every quarterback attending has a major Power-5 interest, and every single counselor is a high-major quarterback.

Volunteer Country was present and evaluated each respective quarterback. Though it is a days-long competition, we have some early takeaways after day one and have decided to name three top performers.

DJ Lagway, Florida, commit

Florida quarterback commit DJ Lagway was by far the No. 1 quarterback in the entire event. He was the first one off the bus, and rightfully so, at 6-2 and 225 pounds. He has an elite muscle twitch and placed the ball well all day on Wednesday. Lagway is a high-level athlete that is running away from Texas high school defenders. He will be an excellent addition to a Florida Gators roster that needs a dynamic talent at quarterback.

Air Noland, Ohio State commit

Ohio State quarterback commit Air Noland carried high expectations into the Elite 11. He had a dominant performance in the regionals in Carrollton, Georgia, earning an invite to the finals. His stock has been rising ever since he pledged to the Buckeyes, and he delivered all day long. Noland was accurate at all layers of the field and showcased the premium precision passing that blew him up earlier this offseason.

Ryan Puglisi, Georgia commit

Georgia quarterback commit Ryan Puglisi was coming in under the radar but showed up in a major way. Puglisi went into several high-major college camps last summer and left with commutable offers - he can throw the football at a high level. He put a ton of torque behind the ball and was consistently placing throws into open space.
