How To Watch: Texas A&M vs. Tennessee
Week seven brings a new challenge to the Vols. Texas A&M rolls into Neyland Stadium sporting a 4-2 record that doesn't do their season justice. They lost star quarterback Conner Weigman at the beginning of the year after he came out on a scorching pace. Backup Max Johnson has done an admirable job in his relief, keeping the Aggies moving and putting up points.
Their roster talent is undeniable. Wide receiver Evan Stewart is an ascending star among the most highly recruited pass catchers in the last several recruiting cycles. His running mate, Ainais Smith, is just as dangerous, liable to turn a screen pass or punt return into a big play at any moment. Tight end Jake Johnson has been the backbone of their intermediate passing game, and their defense is littered with athletes.
Top-to-bottom, this is one of the top rosters Tennessee plays this season, but the No. 19 ranked Vols enter as a 3.5-point home favorite. They still carry an edge after coming off a rebound win over South Carolina, slowing down the chatter in Knoxville, Tennessee, after the Florida loss. They must show up and play their game on Saturday afternoon, which is precisely what they did against the Gamecocks.
