Tennessee Opens Texas A&M Week as Favorites

The Tennessee Volunteers open as a home favorite over the Texas A&M Aggies.
In this story:

The best SEC matchup of the weekend belongs to Tennessee and Texas A&M, two of the more explosive offenses in the conference who square off on Saturday afternoon. The Aggies have rebounded as well as they could have after losing starting quarterback Conner Weigman for the season.

They fielded a competent offense in a loss to Alabama and put up points against Arkansas. Backup quarterback Max Johnson took the starting role and has played admirably, enough for the line to sit at Tennessee -3.5 on most sports books. The home-field advantage is typically three points, as a rule of thumb, meaning a neutral site field we would essentially be looking at this game as a coin flip.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel hasn't lost a home game since 2021. The Vols have one of the best home-field crowds in the sport, which should be crucial on Saturday.
