Aaron Scott Jr. Narrows Recruitment, Still High On Vols
2024 four-star corner Aaron Scott Jr. stands 6-0 and weighs 170 pounds. He attends Springfield High School in Springfield, Ohio. He had 29 offers and cut that down to 12 in early April, but on Thursday, he trimmed it further, now down to five. The incredible SpongeBob SquarePants themed post includes Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Oregon. Ohio State is currently the favorite to land Scott, looking to keep him in his home state. Kentucky was the only other SEC team in his top 12, and they failed to make the cut. Future member Oklahoma was also in the top 12. Scott took an unofficial visit to Knoxville at the end of March. They offered him in February of 2022.

As a junior, Scott had five interceptions, including two that he returned for touchdowns, seven passes defended and a fumble recovery in 13 games. He totaled 21 tackles including three for a loss. Springfield came up just short of a title, losing in the state championship game for the second straight year. Scott also has basketball and track and field experience. The stats and the film show that Scott knows how to play the ball, and it looks like it comes ever so naturally. Once he has the ball, he knows what to do with it. He really has the potential to be a star on the outside. We will see if Tennessee has what it takes to take him from Ohio State, as their grip may not be firm enough.
