Four-Star RB Braylen Russell Announces Commitment Day Details

2024 four-star running back Braylen Russell is set to come off the board. The talented back is choosing between the Tennessee Volunteers, Arkansas, and South Carolina.

It's commitment week for one of the top backs in the country. Four-star running back Braylen Russell (Benton, Ark.) will announce his college decision and choose between Arkansas, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The Vols have been a major player since Russell decommitted from Arkansas in October and reopened his recruitment.

He's already gone on record saying he would shut down his recruitment after Friday. Russell has had a hectic process, initially opting to stay in his home state before reconsidering and getting out to schools this offseason to finalize his future plans. The Razorbacks are certainly contenders, and we believe this is a two-horse race between them and Tennessee, with the Vols carrying momentum ahead of his commitment.

Russell officially announced the full details for Friday's festivities. He will announce live on the 247Sports Youtube channel at 7:45 PM EST. Tennessee is hoping for the best, as they intend to take two backs in the 2024 class. They already landed four-star running back Peyton Lewis (Salem, Va.), an electric speedster with tons of breakaway ability. They imagine Russell coming in as the bruiser, a tough 240-pounder with excellent contact balance at the point of contact.
