Braylon Harmon Talks Tennessee Offer: "A Program Like Tennessee Is Definitely A Factor"

2024 wide receiver Braylon Harmon (Knoxville, Tenn.) got a late-season offer from the Tennessee Volunteers and spoke on how that affects his recruitment.
In this story:

Tennessee has recently made a push for a current college football commit. Braylon Harmon is a 5'9, 180-pound wide receiver from Knoxville, Tennessee, who currently plays football at Knoxville Catholic High School and is a current Wofford commit. He recently received an offer from Tennessee and had a lot of good things to say.

"It means a lot to me, especially being born and raised here; getting a chance to play for them has always been a dream," Harmon stated after being asked about his offer. He then explains what makes Tennessee unique by saying, "Definitely their fast-paced offense, and I like how they have Squirrel White starting at the slot, which is the same size as me."

Being a wide receiver, Harmon's position coach is Kelsey Pope. When asked about Pope, the Knoxville Catholic wide-out stated, "I went to a camp during the summer there, and I loved the drills he was doing, and he focused on the little things like certain cuts and how to catch the ball correctly. He was very personable when I went to their game a few weeks ago, saying he really wanted me to go to Tennessee." He dives deeper into that statement by saying, "It was when they played UConn, and it was a great experience. I didn't think that they would show me love, but when I got there, they talked to me the whole time, and I got to talk to all the coaches about them wanting me there and what I would do if I went there."

Finally, considering he is a Wofford commit, he was asked if Tennessee now plays a factor in his recruitment. The hometown kid responded, "For sure. A program like Tennessee is definitely a factor. The staff and atmosphere are top-notch. Anytime you have the chance to play in your hometown area and inside of Neyland, it is special."
