2025 Michigan CB Commit Chris Ewald Jr. To Visit Tennessee

2025 four-star Michigan corner commit Chris Ewald Jr. has scheduled an unofficial visit with the Tennessee Volunteers this summer.

With all eyes on the 2024 recruiting class, Tennessee has made progress with several 2025 recruits. They hosted several rising juniors over the weekend for their 865 Live event, highlighted by five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty. They are now dipping into the defensive side of the class, hosting a top-100 defensive back this weekend.

Chris Ewald Jr. is a four-star cornerback out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. He committed to Michigan in December of 2022, but his recruiting is still open. He is set to visit four schools in the coming weeks: Miami (FL), Florida State, USC, and Tennessee. He will be in Knoxville this Friday, June 2, according to his Twitter page. He will also be paying Ann Arbor another visit to be back at Michigan. He has 24 offers, but Ewald has a long way to go in his recruitment, given that he is in the class of 2025. Tennessee offered him in January of this year.

  • Miami: June 1
  • Tennessee: June 2
  • Florida State: June 8
  • USC: June 14
  • Michigan: June 22

As a cornerback, Ewald Jr. has totaled five interceptions, 12 passes defended, and 54 total tackles as an underclassman. This past season, he returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown. Ewald has been a part of a Chaminade-Madonna side that has won back-to-back state titles in Class 1M. On the outside, he can use natural instincts to diagnose plays and react to them. Whether playing press coverage or giving the receiver some room, he is lockdown for receivers. Teams must complicate plays and routes if they don’t want him to have his mark on the game.
