Tennessee ensured they had plenty of current commits on campus for the Georgia game over the weekend. 2025 corner commit Dylan Lewis made the trek from Alpharetta, Georgia, to Knoxville for the game and caught up with Volunteer Country after his visit.

Lewis plays his high school football for Milton High and is currently teammates with two 2025 Tennessee corner commits: Shamar Arnoux and Tyler Redmond, the latter of whom committed on Sunday evening. Milton has a strong tradition of producing college defensive backs, and Tennessee decided to buy into that reputation.

According to Max Preps, Lewis has logged four interceptions, 12 pass deflections, and 21 tackles in 2023. Milton is still competing in the GHSA State Playoffs after an impressive Sweet-16 win over Collins Hill on Friday night. While Lewis is focused on closing his high school career strong, this weekend allowed him another opportunity to glimpse his future.

"It was great. I loved getting back to see all of the coaches and staff," Lewis explained. He's been building relationships with this Tennessee coaching staff for the better part of the past year and enjoyed catching up with them. "I talked with Coach [Rodney] Garner, Coach [Willie] Martinez, and Coach [Earnest] Thomas. I got a lot of positive feedback from them on the way I'm playing and how they are glad to have me there." Martinez was a big selling point for Lewis when he ultimately committed. Lewis still feels the same way, pointing to Martinez's track record as a primary reason. "What stands out the most about Coach Martinez is that he keeps producing DBs at every school he's been to."

A program rarely takes three prospects from one high school in the same class. It's even more rare they all play the same position. Lewis recognized this and underscored how essential it is that he will have Arnoux and Redmond alongside him in college. "It's a great feeling we already built something special in high school, and now we're going to take it to the next level." Redmond and Arnoux aren't the only Vols commits with which the talented corner prospect is close. Lewis goes on to mention, "I've gotten real close with Boo Carter, Kaleb Beasley, and Edwin Spillman."

Lewis plans to be an asset to Tennessee over the next year or so, serving as a peer recruiter for the Vols. He already has one key name in mind that he has been pushing for months. "Ethan Utley. I'm trying my hardest to make him a Tennessee Volunteer. That's been my best friend for six years, and he needs to commit!"
