UConn TE Justin Jolly Enters Transfer Portal

UConn Huskies tight end Justin Joly has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and has already scheduled an official visit with the Tennessee Volunteers.
In this story:

Tennessee has already been putting in work when it comes to the annual transfer portal. They have already offered multiple players and have a specific prospect coming in for a visit. That prospect is Justin Joly, who is a transfer tight end from UConn. Joly is the top-ranked tight end in the portal and holds many offers and interests already, as he has been in contact with multiple schools, including Tennessee, Indiana, North Carolina State, and more.

Joly measures in at 6-3 and 232 pounds and is a current sophomore. He played ball at Iona Prep High School before playing at UConn this season. In high school, he put together 22 touchdowns and nearly a 1900-yard career.

During the season, Joly had 56 catches, 578 yards, and 2 touchdowns. In his matchup against the Volunteers defense earlier in the season, Joly had eight catches and nearly 100 yards, as he finished with 89 yards. In his freshman season, the talented tight end had 18 catches for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns as well.

He could make a huge impact for Tennessee, as the Volunteers will be losing both Jacob Warren and McCallan Castles due to them being out of eligibility. The focal point of the tight end room right now is Ethan Davis, who we didn’t see play throughout the season but shined in the spring game. Behind Davis, you have incoming commit Jonathan Echols and current Volunteer tight end Emmanuel Okoye. The Volunteers definitely could use another body or two in that tight end room, as you have seen the Volunteers use at least two throughout games during the past two seasons.
