Longhorns Remain Steady at No. 21 in D1Baseball Top 25

Despite seeing their 16-game winning streak snapped, the Longhorns did not move in the latest top 25.

Fresh off breaking into the D1Baseball top 25, it was a rather eventful week for the Texas Longhorns, who hit the road for the first time since early March for a mini four-game road trip.

They started their road trip off strong, with a 5-2 win over rivals Texas A&M on Tuesday before taking the series opener over the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday night to run their win streak to 16 games.

However, that is where their win streak came to an end as they dropped the final two games against the Cowboys to drop the series and lose consecutive games for the first time since a pair of losses to Indiana and LSU way back in February.

Their 2-2 showing was not enough to raise or drop the Longhorns in the latest D1Baseball top 25, as they stayed put at No. 21.

Luckily for the Longhorns they will return home to Disch-Falk Field where they have looked nearly unstoppable this season, with a mini four-game home stand against Air Force and a three-game series against Kansas State.

If they can revert back to the team that won 16 straight games, including 14 straight at home, don't be surprised if they go 3-1 or even 4-0 and move up slightly in next week's poll.
