Longhorns Clinch Series Over Jaspers With 10-4 Win: Live Game Log

The Longhorns will look to clinch the series win against the Jaspers on Saturday.

The Texas Longhorns (7-7) are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they take on the Manhattan Jaspers (3-9) in game two of a three-game weekend series, looking for the series win. 

A win over the Jaspers not only clinches the series for the Longhorns but would be their fourth straight win and the first time they've been above .500 this season. 

Texas was flat out dominant in the series opening 8-1 win on Friday, with starter Lucas Gordon tossing six innings of no hit, shutout baseball while racking up nine strikeouts. 

Meanwhile the offense continued its momentum from the Wednesday win over Mercer and put up eight runs on 10 hits while also forcing four Manhattan errors in the win. 

Now, they turn their attention to Saturday's game with Zane Morehouse on the mound and some changes in the lineup as they look for the series win.
