Longhorns Put Together Pitching Gem in 5-2 Win Over Texas State: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (23-10, 6-3) are back in action on Monday night as they hit the road to San Marcos to take on the Texas State Bobcats (20-12) in the first of a two-game home and home set.
It will be the fourth game in four days for the Longhorns as their series against the Kansas State Wildcats was pushed back a day after being postponed due to the weather.
Texas was able to bounce back from its two-game losing streak to end the Oklahoma State series, going 3-1 on the week. First was a 7-1 midweek win over Air Force followed by a series win over the Wildcats with wins in the series opener and the finale.
The Longhorns now find themselves sitting in sole possession of first place in the Big 12, and have set themselves up nicely to remain in the hunt for a conference title and regional host site come June.
Now, though, they are taking on a Texas State team that will not be an easy wins by any means.
