Longhorns Drop Midweek Game Against LSU 3-0: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (3-4) are back in action on Tuesday night in a midweek showdown against future SEC opponents, the LSU Tigers (6-1).
They are coming off a much needed series win over the weekend against the Indiana Hoosiers, which saw them win on Friday and Saturday before dropping the series finale on Sunday.
Prior to their loss on Sunday the Longhorns had won three straight, a streak that was kicked off with a 12-2 win against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Now, they look to cap off their five-game homestand with an upset win over the No. 1 Tigers.
That, of course, will be much easier said than done after how dominant LSU has looked to start the season. Through seven games the Tigers have outscored opponents 69-28 and boast a .328 team average.
On the mound for the Longhorns will be Lebarron Johnson Jr., who tossed five innings of one-run baseball with eight strikeouts in Texas' win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
Stay tuned as we provide live updates as the Longhorns take on the Tigers in a Tuesday night midweek showdown.
Live updates will be available after first pitch.
