Longhorns Clinch Series Over Baylor in 7-6 Thriller: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (25-12, 7-4) are back in action on Sunday as they look to win their third conference series against the Baylor Bears (13-22, 5-9).
While the Longhorns would certainly be content with a series win against the Bears to maintain first place in the Big 12, they likely enter Sunday's matchup knowing they should be going for the sweep.
After taking the series opener 11-9 on Friday, the Longhorns dropped game two on Saturday in disappointing fashion. Charlie Hurley, who has been reliable all season, imploded in his first Saturday start - giving up five runs and only recording two outs before being yanked.
Despite that, though, the Longhorns offense stayed hot and gave the bullpen a 9-5 lead heading into the ninth. They would give up a five-run inning, though, and see the Bears walk them off 10-9 to force Sunday's rubber match.
Now, the Longhorns look to bounce back on Sunday and clinch their third conference series win.
