Longhorns Win 7-6 to Clinch Series Over Kansas: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (31-17, 11-9) are back in action on Sunday afternoon in their final road game of the regular season as they look for the series win against the Kansas Jayhawks (22-25, 7-13) in the series finale.
It has been a tale of two teams for the Longhorns so far in this series, as the series opener saw usually reliable ace Lucas Gordon get tagged for six runs while the bats were held to four runs in what was a 10-4 loss.
Saturday, though, was the complete opposite as Texas saw Lebarron Johnson Jr. deliver a career-high seven innings, holding the Jayhawks to only one run while also recording a career-high 12 strikeouts. Offensively, the Longhorns rode a five-run fourth inning to the 6-2 win which evened the series.
Now, the Longhorns look for a crucial conference series win in the rubber match against Kansas.
