Longhorns Drop Series Opener to Kansas 10-4: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (30-16, 10-8) are back in action on Friday night as they hit the road to kick off an important three-game conference series against the Kansas Jayhawks (21-24, 6-12).
This is the final road series in Big 12 play for the Longhorns as they make their to Lawrence for yet another important conference series - and one with posteason implications.
Entering the weekend the Longhorns sit alone in third place in the Big 12 while the Jayhawks reside in eighth. A series win or sweep for the Longhorns would put them in position to win a conference title while the Jayhawks are fighting for a chance just to make the Big 12 tournament once the season ends.
If the Longhorns can come out and play like they did against TCU as opposed to their showing against Oklahoma then they will likely find themselves in a good position this weekend.
