No. 6 Longhorns vs. Texas Tech: Preview, How to Watch & Betting Odds

All history and records can be thrown out the window for Monday's game between the Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders considering the stakes of the rivalry and the night-to-night craziness of the Big 12.
In this story:

The Texas Longhorns look to maintain their grip of first place in the Big 12 when they travel to Lubbock to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders at United Supermarkets Arena on Monday night.

Texas (20-5, 9-3) fell one spot from No. 5 to No. 6 in the latest AP Poll. The Longhorns slaughtered the West Virginia Mountaineers 94-60 on Saturday, but it was their 88-80 loss to the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks on Feb. 6 that prevented them from moving further up this week's rankings.

The Red Raiders (13-12, 2-10) are currently tied for last place in the conference amid a disappointing season. However, Tech has picked up some quality conference wins as of late, including a 71-63 win over the No. 12 Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday and a 80-77 overtime win against the then-No. 13 Iowa State Cyclones on Jan. 30, a game that saw the Red Raiders storm back from a 23-point deficit with less than 13 minutes to play in the second half.

The Longhorns won the first meeting with Tech in comeback fashion on Jan. 14 in Austin, battling back from a 12-point deficit to win 72-70. But all history and records can be thrown out the window for Monday's game considering the stakes of the rivalry and the night-to-night craziness of the Big 12.
