Longhorns Cruise to 7-1 Midweek Win Over Air Force: Live Game Log
The No. 21 Texas Longhorns (20-9, 4-2) are back in action on Tuesday for a midweek game against a familiar opponent, the Air Force Falcons (11-18).
After their 14-game home stand ended, the Longhorns hit the road last week for a four-game road trip. It was an eventful road trip that Texas started 2-0, beating Texas A&M and Oklahoma State in the series opener to run its win streak up to 16 games.
However, the final two games of the series against Oklahoma State were an entirely different story. After putting up five runs on 10 hits in game one, the Longhorns only mustered four runs on nine hits in games two and three combined on their way to two straight losses to drop the series.
Now, though, they return home to Disch-Falk Field where they are 17-2 so far this season for a matchup against Air Force. The Longhorns and Falcons split a midweek series last season, and were paired up in the Austin Regional with Texas taking both games.
