Longhorns Favored to Land 4-Star CB Corian Gipson?
There has been an abundant amount of talk circling around four-star cornerback Corian Gipson and Clemson recently after his visit to their campus on June 2 along with his recruitment developments, but do the Texas Longhorns actually have a chance at snagging Gipson?
The Lancaster native has received high praise from his coach, Leon Paul.
“He’s one of the best, if not the best that I’ve ever coached or been around,” Paul told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “I’ve coached some good ones. At Duncanville, we had Stacy Brown (Missouri), Chris Thompson (USC), Ennis Rakestraw (Missouri) to name a few, and he’s at the top of the list because he’s so dynamic.”
Recently, Gipson had revealed a final five that included Texas, Ohio State, TCU, Clemson, and Alabama, with the Tide also thought of as heavy contenders for his signature.
Now Inside Texas has some good news for Longhorns fans in the pursuit of Gipson from Texas following his prediction of a high-confidence recruiting prediction machine (RPM).
On3's recruitment predictions give Texas a 78% chance versus Clemson's 18.9% to win over Gipson.
The Longhorns will be buckling down more on the six-foot 170-pound cornerback in the coming months.
