'Oh My Goodness': What NFL Scouts Said About Longhorns RB Bijan Robinson

NFL scouts are understandably buzzing about Texas Longhorns star running back Bijan Robinson ahead of the NFL Draft
In this story:

Texas Longhorns star running back Bijan Robinson is one of the most exciting players entering the NFL Draft this spring.

However, it is still anyone's guess as to where he ends up.

Over the last few months, he has been all of the board from top-10 to the bottom of the first round in various NFL Mock Drafts.

On Friday, the Athletic's Bruce Feldman gave his picks for next month's draft, mocking Robinson to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 10.

However, what makes this mock particularly interesting, is Feldman's addition of impressions on each prospect from NFL sources and college coaches.

And unsurprisingly, Robinson got rave reviews from both sides of the aisle, to the point where it seems harder and harder to believe with each passing day that Robinson will make it out of the top-10 to 15 range next month.

Here is everything that Feldman's sources had to say about Robinson:

“Oh my goodness. That kid is unbelievable. Has great vision. Size. Power. He will block. I can’t say enough great things about him. He should’ve left three years ago. He’s so big and strong. He’s going to be an incredible NFL player.”

“His stop-start is pretty special. It’s something you might see in a smaller back, but he’s got that mass and he can run through you. He is impressive. Really good receiver. He’s a bad matchup for a linebacker.”

“He’s so compact! Has patience and great change of direction and change of speed. When the ball is in hands he is elite. Their O-line looked the part, but they weren’t very good in front of him. They were young and so inexperienced. Movement would hurt ‘em. He is great though.”

“I think he was the best player in college football. Watch him. I get why NFL teams aren’t picking a running back in the top five, but

man

, he’s physical. He has good long speed and is selfless. They used him to block on the perimeter and pass protection and he’s an elite route-runner. He is

elite

elite.”

Suffice it to say, whoever ends up with Robinson is going to get a dynamic, potentially game-changing player.

That said, teams like the Eagles, Cowboys, Bills and Chargers have been among the most common teams to select Robinson according to the mock draft experts.

But for now, we will just have to wait and see which franchise ultimately ends up winning that lottery and adding the generational talent that Robinson is expected to bring.
